GÖRLITZ with its own computing centre can provide complete technical and communication infrastructures for the operation of metering systems. Our specialists undertake the operation, maintenance and technical responsibility for the system, a protected VPN connection is employed to grant the user access to the system. Thereby a complete EDW3000 metering system can be outsourced for hosting.

The user remains the license owner and also proprietor of the server installation, but GÖRLITZ will organise and execute competently the technical operations from a central point. From uploading software updates to testing data backup and archive functions; the user is no longer burdened with time-consuming IT administration and may concentrate on core assignments, namely the acquisition and analysis of metering data.

The service is highly scalable, for instance single computers may be implemented as a dedicated server for remote readings and processing  the subsequent metering data. As a rule this is sufficient for systems with a capacity to remotely read max. 1,000 customers.  Nested server farms are provided for bigger systems, the largest solution in operation today processes data series from 50,000 data points with measurement periods at 15-minute intervals.
